I know it should say “the journey begins”, but the journey has began long time before this blog has been created. I have been contemplating over and over to start a blog. I have started so many blogs over the years but have not been that interested to update them.
Over a decade ago, I had a blog. I loved that blog. I posted so many things including the many different events that I’ve been to, places I’ve visited, the people I’ve spent time with, and most of all, the food I’ve eaten.
I’ve always been known by friends to take photos of everything, including food! Yes, I’ve done that before phone cameras had a 1 megapixel resolution camera attached to it. At that time, I was using my canon powershot point & shoot camera. I loved that camera. It was so simple and I was able to take lots of great photos of my daily life.
There were so many things to post then. I was working a radio station as an on air personality. I was seen hosting on different local events and have had regular listeners on the radio and also regular viewers of my blog. At that time “vlogging” wasn’t a thing, but I did start posting videos on youtube as well. The videos were mostly of my dogs.
My blog at that time consisted of many different memories. One day, the website that was hosting my blog had to end its services. The company gave us an option to download our website / blog. But I disregarded it until it was too late. At that time, I didn’t really think anything of blogging as something as a career. It was really more of my hobby. A hobby that I have justified with myself on why I loved taking photos of everything. It really made sense. Why would I have these many photos and not post them.
Being on the radio before, it allowed me to be a story teller. Being away from the radio for almost a decade, made me feel like I need a venue for my story telling. No, I’m not a novelist or a writer. I just like sharing stories of food, places and experiences that I thought would be of great help or pleasure for people viewing my blog.
Even though, I’ve long lost the blog that I’ve created more than a decade ago. I thought that this new blog will be good place to restart my blogging days. I don’t know if I can make up with that much lost time in the blogging world. But my life behind that was so beautiful that I couldn’t believe I didn’t get to share it.
Here’s my chance to share my stories and my world. I hope that it will at least make you smile. I am truly excited to start posting my photos. I am kicking myself in the behind why I waited this long. Oh well, no time for regrets now. We just have to keep moving forward.
What you can take from this blog, is like having a glimpse of my crazy life and my crazy obsession with food, travel and my family life.
Nice to meet you and welcome to my blog. 🙂
Don’t forget to say hi!
Smile Always,
Ainee
